Managed to conceal my scars & redness with the help of M.A.C Studio Fix foundation.

I think I look good in these photos. Haha.

No, I'm not going to use Studio Fix as my daily foundation. In fact never. It's NOTORIOUS in causing breakouts! Cystic acne to be precised. I regretted putting it everyday on my face during my senior year in college. Believe me, you don't want to be infected with cystic acne. It is VERY PAINFUL, VERY NASTY, VERY DISGUSTING & might SCARS you for a very long time..

Going to renew my passport tomorrow.

What worries me is that my face hasn't heal completely and there are still lots of red spots & scars here and there. *sigh*

What should I put on my skin so that my face will look as good as this model on photo? What I know is my daily powder foundie, Maybelline Angelfit Flawless Afinity powder foundation is a big no. My Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting foundie is also a no because it doesn't provide high coverage. Should I use my old M.A.C Studio Fix foundie? It provides high coverage (with a lil help from M.A.C Studio Finish concealer), but my only concern is that they might cause my skin to go havoc & breakout again.. *sigh*

Changed and added a few new stuffs.

1. Bobbi Brown Cleansing Oil
This is my must-have product. Been using it since August 2010 and never turning back.

2. L'Oreal Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Foam Gel
Just started using these a week ago. So far so good. Not (really) drying. Love the citrus scents.

3. Avene Thermal Spring Water
This is my 5th bottle. Love it to bits!

4. Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisurising Lotion
Had been using it since the last 3 weeks. Had a breakout on my chin & upper lips area on the first week, but they have healed. Scentless. Love the boing boing effect after patting it on my skin.

5. Clean & Clear Moisturiser
My old time favourite.

This is how my skin look after months of treatment.

I'm kinda cheating here. I'm using liquid foundation & concealer when this picture was taken. Hehe. :p

Anyway

The scars are still visible. =((
The redness has greatly reduced. =)

No cystic acne anymore. =)

Facts:

1. I'm no longer depending on any antibiotics or hormone pills.
2. I rarely use neem leaves paste mask. (too lazy)
3. Not on collagen supplement. (yucks!)
4. I wear powder foundation on daily basis.

I think I should pay a visit to my doctor this week to get the scars shot..
Have been running away from him since the last 1 1/2 months.

Going gaga over orange lipstick after watching Scent of a Woman.

I really love how flattering orange lipstick looks on her. Btw, this is Im Se Kyung (the character's name), the female antagonist (she wasn't so bad actually) in Scent of a Woman. I LOVE this woman! Always look immaculate in every occasion. Pretty dress, gorgeous make-up, killer heels, unique hairdo. Would love to steal her closet! xD

So I bought this orange lipstick called Orange Crush by Silkygirl to commemorate this fashionista character.

Hello people! I'm back from my shop-till-you-drop shopping trip. Well actually I was back 2 days ago, but my laptop went haywire yesterday and I couldn't post anything here. To those who were wondering, I went to KL & Putrajaya last week. It was a true shop-till-you-drop experience. It feels good to be able to splash money without having anything to worry about. The trip includes 10-12 hours of shopping, window shopping, eating non stop, watching orchestra concert & self pampering session. My feet hurt a lot during the excursion & I think I've gained a few kilos after eating all those delicious food too. Gemuk sudah! Haha. All in all, it was an exciting trip (yet bad for my wallet). Wish I could visit those shopping malls again soon (with unlimited budget)!

Just found out that Wonder Girls have came out with a song entitled Be My Baby. Gile outdated aku. xD The song is quite okay. Bubbly. Very the budak2. Not my kind of song, so whateverlah. Hahaha. Love, love, love the pink case.

Inside. That's how a new powder look like. You can even see some pearl flecks, but worry not cos it doesn't show on your skin. I don't really like the sponge though..

As promised, here's my review on Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation SPF15. I'm now on my second bottle and I've been using it for almost a year, so I think this makes me in a perfect position to review this amazing potion. ^____^ Before I start my review, let's feast our eyes with some photos.

(correction: left - warm natural (4.5), left - natural(4))

"Oil-free, all-day wear so you’ll have soft-matte, even-looking skin without having to pile on powder throughout the day, this is Bobbi’s soft-matte “sequel” to our (now discontinued) Oil-Free Finish Foundation. Sponge-like powders absorb excess oil on the surface of the skin, while emollients lock in moisture to ensure skin remains perfectly balanced. Transfer-resistant formula helps create a barrier against heat and humidity for 8 hours of wear so makeup stays in place. Perfect for oily and normal/combination skin." My first bottle is in shade Natural (4). Unfortunately it's a shade lighter than my skin. So after I've finished it, I bought the second bottle in Warm Natural (4.5) which is a shade darker than Natural (4). Thank God it's a perfect shade for me! So yay! ^____^

Loves the fact that they come with build in pump.

Okay, let's see how they fair on me:

My verdict:

Pros:

1. Less oily than Skin Foundation. Less stain on my tudung.

2. Lasts all day, only requires minor touch up.

3. Doesn't look cakey even when I'm piling the foundie on my skin.

4. No pungent smell! No that chemically smell, so yay!

Cons:

1.Very expensive: a bottle of 30 ml comes at RM160. *gulp*

2. Light - medium coverage. Doesn't cover my acne scars though.. A good amount of Face Touch Up Stick is needed to cover those nasty reddies.

3. The shades run lighter than Skin foundation's. Warm Natural (4.5) is my perfect shade, but Natural (4) is a tad too light for me.

4. Dries up very quickly. Once you pump it out, blend, blend, blend.

Yesterday, we went to Medan Ikan Bakar Sabak Awor, Muar for dinner. (Btw, this is not the toilet at Sabak Awor) Wore my (altered) grey puffy sleeves blouse. I've only wore this blouse for 5 times so far (Dec 2009-Oct 2011). The puffy sleeves are too over the top, but I'm loving it nevertheless. ^____^

The chosen gerai. The food was good. Their service was awesome! Makanan cepat sampai! Oh I like! ^____^

We had:

Ikan tiga rasa

Kerang bakar

Wait..

That's not all.

We also had ketam masak blackpepper, pari bakar & sotong goreng tepung. Gile penuh meja.. The bill came at RM160. Daddy sponsors. Anak goyang kaki. Muahahaha. :p

Stopped taking antibiotics & hormone pills since a few days ago. Reason: they tasted yucks & I'm afraid that being too dependent on pills (not THE pill) might damage my liver..

So for now on, I'm using a homemade mask that is made of Semambu leaves (also known as Neem leaves) to fight my acne vulgaris. From what I read, this Semambu leaves is widely used in Ayurvedic to treat skin diseases and many other diseases.

Freshly picked Semambu leaves.

Separate the leaves from twigs.

Tumbuk, tumbuk, tumbuk.. Giling, giling, giling..

Voila! Freshly ground Semambu leaves paste. I usually paste it on my face and leave it for about 15 - 30 minutes before wash it off.

Being using it for the past 4 weeks & I'm happy to report that it is a success. My skin has started to clear! The number of acne has dramatically (pardon my choice of adjective) dropped. And the best thing is there are no more cystic acne on my skin! Wuhooo! It feels good to finally triumph over acne.. ^___________^

Injured my Achilles tendon.. It's most probably tendon rupture. T____T The doctor told me that it happened because I've strained my ankle too much. Too much long haul driving eh? Was given 2 injections (sakit okay!) & tonnes of pills (oh, and 2 days of mc). Pills again, oh my.. *sigh* My ankle is currently swelling and it has restricted me from walk properly. But the good thing is it's not as painful as the day before (Menangis2 okay tahan sakit). So nk jalan sikit2 boleh la, but I can't stand for a long period of time. So kiddos in school, please behave in my class. I can't afford to walk around the class to see what your doing..

As for now, I'll spend my 2 days of mc wisely (I'm in Labis! It's a blessing in disguise after all.. =)). But I craved for McD & Pizza lah.. Should I bodek my parents to jalan2 in Segamat? Labis ade KFC je.. *wink2* (tak sedar diri kaki tgh sakit.. lols)

Couldn't go back to my REAL home due to a *toooottttttt* camp. Went to Aeon Tebrau to watch movie, eat, do lots of shopping and indirectly crash my savings.. Not many things were bought, but the most expensive thing that I bought today has got to be this:

My trusted Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Long Lasting Foundation. RM160 - BLOODY EXPENSIVE but worth every penny! My third Bobbi Brown liquid foundation for this year. Yes, I eat foundation. tqvm. Since that I rarely wear liquid foundation these days, this will only be reserved for special occasions & courses. Jimat2.

Saw this lovely Bobbi Brown Mineral foundation displayed on the Bobbi Brown counter. Tried it on & it was love at the first sight. Silky smooth & the coverage was omg AWESOME! Almost caught into buying in, but managed to resist the temptation after a long thought.

After spending a huge amount of money on their product, getting samples is a must. This time I got my self a sample of Hydrating Face Tonic. Haven't put it on try yet due to my skin condition. But I have a feeling that it will do wonder like its sister the Hydrating Gel cream which I heart very much.

Anyway, since that I've become a broke, let me make a wish..

Dearest 22nd September, do come faster..

Since I was in secondary school, it's a tradition for our family to wear baju raya in the same colour. The person resposible for choosing the theme or colour would either me, my youngest sister or my mother. This year, mommy (as the main chooser) decided to go bold. She (with my suggestion lah of course) chose this particular red as the main colour of our baju raya.

Yes, my main baju raya is in deep wine red. I found myself really fond of red nowadays. Must be the sign of aging.. Haha.

Though I'm in a fight against acne, nothing can stop me from looking my best on this special occasion. Muahahaha. I'll wear a full face make-up. Ala pakai sekejap je. Lepas puas bergambar buang la. Heeeee~ (Sorry eh Encik Doctor. Raya..)

Now the one million dollar question is:

Should I go with my usual nude lips?

or

Should I be equally bold with my make up & don red lipstick instead?

Lullaby is "a quiet song which is sung to children to help them go to sleep" according to Cambridge.

Once in a while I have to listen to some lullaby to help me sleeping. No, I do not suffer insomnia. I sleep a lot! It happens when I had too much sleep in the afternoon or when I have too much thought on my mind. (Eg: ms nk pg interview spp hr tu. Tido2 ayam aje for almost a week..) Bukan selalu pun..

My favourite type of lullaby songs are usually Korean ballad songs. Why Korean songs not English or Malay songs? Because I like Korean songs lah ape lagi. Haha. No lah. I actually find most of Korean ballads very soothing. The melody sgt menenangkan hati (although the lyric is about broken hearts. Haha). Memang boleh dgr smpai tertidolah.

During my university years in UK, I always bring this list of E(s) while doing my shopping. Very useful. White - Halal, Black - Haram, Grey - Syubhah. Yela kt UK mane ade tulis halal terang2. Kenalah check ingredient satu2. Kalau bahan yg nk beli tu ade E yg haram, letak jela balik. Carik bahan lain yg xde E yg haram. Easy peasy.
